Children between 6 and 12 years of age are invited to enjoy technical advice in November on Friday, indicated by the Ministry of Public Education, in a session dedicated to creating stories based on works from the exhibitions Alien Queen / Strange Paradise and Archaic Futures. Participants will exercise their imagination, a fundamental ability to appreciate and enjoy art as well as to strengthen both creative thinking and empathy.

Mediators from the Museo Tamayo will encourage and accompany children in creating their own illustrated story, integrating characters and landscapes that they will encounter during the recreational visits we will make through the exhibitions; they will thus create a memory of the visit.

At the same time, we will work, in the following way, artistic skills that will expand the participants' range of creative and expressive resources:

• Starting from Alien Queen/ Strange Paradise, by Manuela Solano (Mexico City, 1987): character design, exquisite corpse, decals and calligrams.
• Starting from Archaic Futures: creation of landscapes, frottage, splashes and collage.

Important Considerations

• Seating is limited, so prior registration and confirmation of attendance are required.
• It is essential that a tutor sign an authorization on the day of the event to receive the participants.
• Bring lunch and a bottle of water for the midday break.
• Bring clothes that are comfortable and that can get stained.
