Jazz Nights is a program with more than 20 years of experience dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of jazz in Mexico City. Throughout this time, it has established itself as a platform that offers musical experiences for audiences interested in contemporary art and music. Carolina Mercado, Aaron Flores, Adrián Flores and Juan Ale Sáenz will perform in April.

Carolina Mercado. Saxophonist and composer originally from Guadalajara, who belongs to a new generation of Mexican jazz players and improvisers who explore an organic, free and profoundly personal sound language. His work focuses on contemporary jazz, integrating Latin American influences that enrich his interpretative and compositional proposal.

He began his musical studies at the age of 16 in the preparatory courses of JazzUV. In 2017, he won a grant from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation, which allowed him to continue his training at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, where he specialized in jazz performance and obtained the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts. Throughout his career, he has participated in various national and international seminars and residencies, including the Tonic Jazz Seminar, the Antonio Sánchez Residence, the Xalapa International Jazz Meeting and the Keep and Eye program in Amsterdam, among others.

He has performed on stages in Mexico and other countries such as France, Spain, Israel, Peru, Colombia, the United States and the Netherlands. Her awards include first place in the Concurso Panamericano de Saxofón(2017), the Premio Jazz Joven, organized by the Orquesta Nacional de Jazz de México, and the She's Got the Groove award, awarded by Yamaha in 2024.
