Noches de jazz presents: Cigui-Cervera-Paz trio
In September, the Cigui-Cervera-Paz trio arrives at the Museo Tamayo, a group that reinterprets the jazz tradition with a unique approach. It is a trio without a harmonic instrument, where the saxophone, double bass and drums create a pure, dynamic and profoundly expressive dialogue. Inspired by the aesthetics of the great trios in the history of jazz, the group maintains a balance between the freedom of spontaneous interaction and absolute respect for tradition. With a chamber and organic sound, the trio's music flows between improvisation and structure, exploring every nuance of the jazz repertoire with freshness and depth. This type of instrumentation encourages interaction and experimentation, giving each instrument a leading role in the musical narrative. The group is currently producing their first album, a collection of carefully selected pieces from their repertoire, which capture the essence of their sound and artistic identity.
Giovanni Cigui, on the saxophone, Sabino Paz, on the double bass, and Pedro Cervera on the drums make up the group.
