Jazz Nights is a program with more than 20 years of experience dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of jazz in Mexico City. Throughout this time, it has established itself as a platform that offers musical experiences for audiences interested in contemporary art and music. In March, Cosimo Boni will perform, with Giovanni Cigui, Alonso Sánchez and Pedro Cervera.

Cosimo Boni. Musician originally from Florence, Italy. He won a scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music, so in 2012 he moved to Boston, Massachusetts. He studied with some of the world's most prestigious jazz musicians and teachers, including Darren Barret, Dave Santoro, Hal Crook, Jason Palmer, Greg Hopkins and Sean Jones. He was selected to play with artists such as Terence Blanchard, Gary Burton, Bil Frisell, Vijay Iyer, Rudresh Mahanthappa and Antonio Sánchez.

He was admitted to the Global Jazz Institute with a full scholarship, becoming the first Italian to obtain a Master in Contemporary Jazz Performance at that institution. In 2019, he was selected as a finalist for the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition, and a year later he released his first album with Daniele Germani, Leo Genovese, Francesco Marocci and Jungkook Kim. In 2023 he released his first album as an absolute leader, May Be (Unable to Return), under the Fresh Sound label.

This event is held in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Mexico City, within the framework of the artistic residencies of Italian jazz musicians of which they are part.
