Jazz Nights is a program with more than 20 years of experience dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of jazz in Mexico City. Throughout this time, it has established itself as a platform that offers musical experiences for audiences interested in contemporary art and music.

Tomas Martinez. Saxophonist and composer, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He recorded his debut album as a leader at the historic Rudy Van Gelder Studio, in New Jersey, along with a rhythm section consisting of Michael Weiss on the piano, David Wong on the double bass, and Kenny Washington on the drums, and a session with Grammy-winning double bass player Paul Sikivie.

He trained at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory of Music, in his hometown, and received a scholarship from the Tribeca Jazz Institute in New York. He studied with key jazz figures such as Charles McPherson, George Coleman, Bob Mover and Grant Stewart, among others. He was named Outstanding Personality and Cultural Ambassador of Buenos Aires. It presents projects that combine original compositions with classical jazz repertoire, with a strong root in the tradition and language of bebop. In addition to his activity as a performer, he carries out an intense pedagogical work, teaching improvisation classes for musicians of all instruments.
